If the Korean government can successfully develop Pan Yellow Sea Economic Belt that is a core pillar of ‘new economic map for the Korean Peninsula’, Korea will be able to play a role as a bridge connecting north and south economic union.
In this regard, it will be said that the role of Jeju Free International City as a gateway to south economic union is critical. This session deals with Jeju’s potential role in the new map such as providing a new harbor, operating as a logistic herb and giving vigor to a marine industry with experts of related fields.
정부의 주요 국가정책으로 추진 중인 ‘한반도 신경제 지도’ 구상의 핵심인 환서해 물류산업 벨트가 실현되 면 대한민국은 북방·남방 경제권을 잇는 교량국가로 서의 역할을 할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 남방경제권의 관문인 제주국제자유도시의 참여와 역할이 중요해진 현 시점에 신항만 건설, 해상 물류 등 해운·해양 산업 활성화에 대한 구체적 접근 방법을 논의하고, 시행주 체로서의 제주 및 JDC의 역할에 대해 전문가들의 의 견을 수렴하고자 한다.
