Biography
TAUCHI Motoi (Yoon Ki)
As a social worker, he currently serves as Chairman of the Social Welfare Service Gongsaeng Welfare Foundation and the Yoon Hak-ja Gongsaeng Foundation, as well as President of the Kokoro no Kazoku in Japan. He is the eldest son of Yoon Chi-ho and Yoon Hak-ja (Tauchi Chizuko), founders of Mokpo Gongsaengwon. After graduating from the Department of Social Welfare at Korea Central Theological University (now Kangnam University), he assumed the position of Director of Gongsaengwon in 1968 and has since established a total of 15 welfare institutions across Korea and Japan.
In recognition of his contributions to social welfare and community development, he has received numerous honors, including the Ho-Am Prize, the Order of Civil Merit, Dongbaek Medal, the Human Management Award, and the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays conferred by the Japanese government. Based on his book 『Mother Is Foolish』 (1987), the Korea–Japan joint production film “Apocalypse of Love” was produced in 1994.
He is currently leading the commemorative projects for the 100th anniversary of Gongsaeng in 2028 and the international initiative to establish a U.N.-designated “World Orphans Day”, continuing to advance the spirit of humanitarian service.
