Biography

KIM Jeung Bin is the founder and CEO of SuperBin Co., Ltd., a climate-tech company advancing Korea’s plastic circular economy. Since founding the company in 2015, he has secured KRW 50 billion in equity and debt financing and built Korea’s first waste image database, applying it to Nephron, SuperBin’s nationwide AI-powered recycling resource collection robot service. He has also led the completion of an r-PET recycled materials production facility, expanding SuperBin’s role from resource collection to recycled materials production.

KIM actively participates in Korea’s climate-tech and plastic circular economy initiatives, helping connect industry practice with public policy. His work includes involvement in Hyundai Kia Motor Group’s carbon neutrality strategy, AGC’s entry into circular resource business, and the Carbon Neutrality Committee of the Korea Environmental Management Corporation.
Previously, he served as CEO of Kosteel and Kosteel Holdings, where he led restructuring and new business initiatives that delivered the company’s highest historical profit. He also held roles at KOTITI, KPMG, and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. KIM holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and completed doctoral coursework in economics at Cornell University.
