Biography
Since 2015, MIN So Young has spearheaded international cooperation initiatives for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) at International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the Auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP). She has played a pivotal role in advancing the field by integrating global agendas, such as climate change and youth empowerment, into ICH discourse and field practices. She has also worked to enhance public awareness and promote the value of ICH through the curation of online exhibitions and diverse audiovisual content. Her current focus lies in leveraging Cultural Technology (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure the sustainable reinterpretation and expansion of ICH within a rapidly evolving cultural landscape.
