KIM Sunjae was born in September 1988 and is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science & Diplomacy at Jeju National University. After graduating from Kyung Hee University with a bachelor's degree in Chinese studies and a master's degree in Chinese politics at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, he earned a doctorate in international relations from the Jilin University School of Public Diplomacy as an invited student of the Chinese government. The main research field is Chinese politics and China-Russia relations. Before he took office at Jeju National University, he studied Chinese issues at institutions such as the Korea Institute of Unification and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and served as an foreign information specialist in charge of China at the National Assembly for about five years.
