Dr. HWANG Cheol-Kyu graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in law and later earned his Doctorate in Economic Law from Hanyang University after completing his studies at George Washington University Law School. He passed the 29th Korean Bar Exam and served as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Korea. He later worked as a Legal Advisor at the Permanent Mission of the ROK to the United Nations and passed the New York State Bar Exam. Dr. Hwang held key positions as the Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Western District and Busan District Prosecutors’ Offices, as well as the Chief Prosecutor of the Daegu and Busan High Prosecutors’ Offices. He also served as the Director of the International Criminal Center at the Judicial Research and Training Institute. He was also the President of the International Association of Prosecutors. Currently, he serves as a Distinguished Professor at Kyonggi University, Vice President of the World Jurist Association (WJA), and senior lawyer at Hae-Kwang, Law Firm.
