JOUNG Min Gu, born in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, served as the representative of the Jeju Residents’ Autonomy Solidarity, promoting local development and citizen participation. He actively worked on administrative reform and decentralization, establishing a resident-led governance system. Elected to the 11th Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Council, he served on the Administrative and Autonomous Committee and chaired the 4·3 Special Committee, striving for a just resolution of the Jeju 4·3 Incident. Currently, as chair of the Environment and Urban Committee in the 12th Provincial Council, he mediates between development and conservation, seeking balanced progress and improving residents' quality of life.
