Dr. KWAAK YoungHoon graduated from Gyeonggi High School and earned his degrees in Architecture from MIT, followed by studies in Education at Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Education from Dongguk University. He was a professor of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Planning, Department of City and Regional Planning at Hongik University and served as a Distinguished Professor at Jeju National University. As UNDP senior consultant, he played a key role in major urban development projects, Tumen River Area Development Program. He also designed the Seoul First Long-range Comprehensive Master Plan, the 1988 Seoul Olympic Park Master Plan, the Han River Long-range Comprehensive Development Plan, the 1993 Daejeon Expo Master Plan, the Seoul Metro Lines 2, 3, and 9 Planning including Tehran Blvd, the Daejeon City Master Plan, and the Yeosu City Hall architectural design, KTX, Great Speed Train Policy Planning etc.
