Biography

Dr. PARK Jong-Dae has been serving as the visiting professor of Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies since February 2021, and the visiting professor of KDI School of Public Policy and Management since April 2021. He also serves as the advisor to Korea Saemaul Undong Center, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Johannesburg Institute of Advanced Studies, Asia-Africa Center, Seoul National University, and Palgrave Macmillan SDGs Series. He also was a member of the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit Civil Advisory Committee. Prior to becoming professor, he served as the Ambassador to South Africa, and Uganda. His other posts include Director of Policy Planning, Director of Status of Forces Agreement, and director in charge of foreign affairs in the Presidential Office. Park holds a BA degree in Political Science and Diplomacy in Yonsei University, Korea, MA degree in Asian Studies in U.C. Berkeley, U.S., and Ph.D. degree in Political Science and Diplomacy in Kyungnam University, Korea.
