Biography
KATO Takayoshi graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kyoto University in 2002 and joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications(MIC).
In the central government, he has accumulated a variety of experiences, including management in the General Affairs Division of the MIC, local administration tasks in the Local Administration Bureau, and disaster response in the Cabinet Office and the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.
Additionally, he has served as a senior official in local governments such as the Fukui Prefectural Government, Yokohama City Hall, Wakayama Prefectural Government, and Ishikawa Prefectural Government, working in key areas such as policy planning and budget formulation.
Since July 2023, he has been serving as the Deputy Director General of the CLAIR (Council of Local Authorities for International Relations) Seoul Office, supporting international exchange between Japanese local governments and Korea.
