KIM Inhwan was born in 1962 in Jocheon, Jeju Island, the hometown of Samdasoo, and served as the first president of the Jeju Knowledge Industry Promotion Agency. He served as a policy expert member of the National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Communication Standing Committee and as the head of the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency. SmartCity Malta (2007), Jeju Smart Grid Demonstration Project (2009), Goyang Smart City (2016), Seoul Smart City Special Zone Project (2018), Jeju Smart Green City (2021), Jeju Smart City Challenge MP (2022), he has field experience such as managing the Distributed Energy Working Group (2024), and is currently working concurrently as a researcher at Seoul National University's Sustainable Development Research Institute and a part-time professor at Seoul National University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies. He lectures and conducts research in the fields of energy, environment, and smart cities, including social innovation, regional innovation, carbon neutrality, and net zero.
