Dr. Ju-Hyeoun KIM has worked as an Director of Ocean Economy Research Division and associate research fellow at Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), which is a government-affiliated research entity under the Prime Minister’s Office. She specialized in data production, survey and policy evaluation in ocean and fisheries sector. She is a Ph.D. in public policy at the Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration. She has been working on diverse researches about the analysis of the performance of businesses, employment trends and industry policy in the Korean oceans and fisheries sector. Her recent publications include 'Evaluating the Change in Performance of Ocean and Fishery Businesses During the COVID-19 Pandemic (2023)' and 'How Will the United Nations (UN) Biological Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement Affect the Shipping Industry in the Future? (2023)'.
