Biography

KIM, Elli teaches peace studies and women\'s studies at the Graduate School of Civil Society and Peace Studies in Sungkonghoe University. She currently works as the director of Feminist Institute for Peace Studies in Peace MOMO. She is interested in the transformation of gender system, theorizing peace from a feminist perspective, emotional politics, masculinity. She is the author of On the Speech ‘women, go to the army!(2021) and co-author of Classroom on Feminism (2019). And she recently wrote papers, such as Women’s Citizenship and Military Service: Focusing on the National Petition for a Female Conscription System (2022), Hate Speech from a Perspective of Performative Divided Heart(2021), Hybrid Masculinity of Men in Their 20s and 30s (2020), and she translated both Globalization and Militarism(2016, Cynthia Enloe) and Where We are From(2009, Cynthia Cockburn) into Korean.
