Chun Wonkeun is a sociologist working as an assistant professor at Jeju National University. He has devoted to border studies and critical security studies especially on the peripheries of inter-Korean states including DMZ and marital border in the Yellow sea. Currently, He is interested in the relationship between islands and coastal regions in East Asia, including Jeju, with territoriality in the Cold War and neoliberal order, and also interested in how ‘more-than-human’ perspectives could be applied to these issues.
