Urban regeneration has been used to create and revitalize city centers in numerous regions since the birth of its concept. Through careful planning, elements such as architecture, major events, and art can make a city much more marketable. Even though most urban developments are planned by local governments, at times private entities give direction to the change. We will examine successful urban renewal cases in which local people improved their quality of life so we can find the best way to improve our city centers.
