Governments and private sectors are increasingly aware of the importance of women’s participation, which promotes societal and economic equality and leads to national development and economic growth. The United Nations also calls for urgent action on gender equality to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. Women’s empowerment has been improved through corporate responsibility, valuing diversity, and implementing principles for inclusive business, yet women’s full participation in leadership positions, promotions, hiring, and wages remains unfulfilled. The session will discuss a glass ceiling for women and introduce a global trend towards corporate sustainable growth through ensuring gender diversity and women’s empowerment. In this regard, business efforts and achievements will be shared throughout the session.
