Experiences and Implications of Exchange and Cooperation between Two Koreas
Date- June 26 (Fri.)
Time- 13:30 ~ 14:50
Organization- Korea Institute for National Unification
Room- Crystal Hall D
Subject- Diplomacy / Security
North Korea continues to refrain from engaging in inter-Korean dialogue. However, to achieve "Peaceful Coexistence on the Korean Peninsula," a keynote of the Lee Jae-myung administration's policy toward North Korea, inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation must be resumed and invigorated. The two Koreas have great experiences of developing exchanges and cooperation, both quantitatively and qualitatively, since their inception in the late 1990s and continuing through the 2000s. This session seeks to draw lessons from these experiences regarding the resumption of inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation, which is crucial for peaceful coexistence on the Korean Peninsula.
