This session will explore the role and future of ROK–U.S. parliamentary diplomacy amid growing uncertainty in the international order and shifting alliance dynamics. Against the backdrop of intensifying strategic competition and evolving geopolitical challenges, the discussion will examine how legislative cooperation can help sustain policy continuity, strengthen mutual trust, and reinforce the broader foundation of the alliance. The session will also address key challenges in ROK–U.S. cooperation, including the need to bridge differences in perception and policy priorities in the areas of security, economy, and technology through enhanced communication and dialogue. Participants will discuss ways to institutionalize parliamentary exchanges, expand bipartisan cooperation, and develop a long-term roadmap for strengthening bilateral cooperation. Through these discussions, the session aims to identify practical pathways for advancing the ROK–U.S. alliance and enhancing parliamentary diplomacy in an increasingly fragmented and uncertain world.
