A key question about a resilient peace is how to settle, maintain, and keep it after it has arrived. After the inter-Korean and the North-U.S. summits in 2018-19, full-fledged discussions on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula ensued. Denuclearization of the North was just one of the preconditions for peace in Northeast Asia. Up until now, however, academia and the political circle have regarded denuclearization itself as the ultimate goal. What kind of peace does the world expect on the Korean peninsula after the denuclearization of the North? How can it be maintained and developed? And how can the peace on the Korean peninsula contribute to peace in Northeast Asia and the world? This session will address all these issues and provide the audience with a valuable opportunity to hear the views of the most renowned experts in this field.
