[ Global Leaders Session on Diplomacy and Security ] Middle Power’s Role for Asia's Future

Time
13:00 ~ 14:30
Organization
Jeju Peace Institute
Room
Halla Hall
The world is faced with supra-national issues ranging from climate change to nuclear proliferation, refugee crisis, and terrorism. Paradoxically, the weakened leadership of superpowers indicates that middle powers such as Korea might have more room to assume greater leadership roles in dealing with regional and global issues. This session will provide the opportunity for the global leaders of middle powers to share wide and in-depth views on the role of middle powers in the peace and prosperity of Asia, to assess the threats and challenges arising on a regional or global scale, and to explore their roles in coping with them.
