The increase in global mobility has resulted in countless conflicts due to differences in society, culture, economy, environment, and stakeholder perspective. To ameliorate the local-visitor conflict, the a need for a cooperative. sustainable platform is greater than ever. Sustainable tourism’s universal importance is emphasized in the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 8, 12, and 14. The cooperative tourism platform enables synergistic impact by allowing stakeholders to not only fulfill their social responsibilities to preserve the local communities, but also to pursue sustainable decision-making, human resources exchange, and cooperation. Thus, the session is designed to discuss the current relationship between tourism and peace, the role of and need for a coherent tourism platform, the possibility of building a tourism cooperation platform for the Korean Peninsula, and eventually the pursuit of happiness amongst all its stakeholders.
