Cybersecurity threats have been becoming more complex than in the past. Cyber threats done by non-State actors as well as State-sponsored actors are expanding to hacking into the transactions of virtual currencies like bitcoin for financial purposes. Many countries, highly dependent on ICTs in particular, have made and implemented their national cyber security strategies to respond to these newly developing cyber security threats. The Rep. of Korea, which has been subject to various types of cyber threats in the region as well as globally, has also taken necessary steps to be comprehensive and systematic. This session is to contribute to developing a new perspective and paradigm on the national, regional, and global strategies for cyber security threats through a thorough discussion among the experts from Australia, China, the US, and the ROK.
