The regional importance of Southeast Asian countries is increasing for Korea’s international cooperation while the Moon Jae-in Government proclaimed ‘New Southern Policy.’ Although Southeast Asian countries have been the major recipients of foreign assistance from Northeast Asian donor countries, there has been less understanding among Northeast Asian donors of Japan, Korea, and China in terms of its collaboration networks in recipient countries. The aim of KAIDEC & KOICA at Jeju Forum in 2018 is to understand Asian networks and to search for a possible collaboration mechanism to enhance aid effectiveness such as Asian Development Cooperation Networks.
