Biography
Heejin Lee is a Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies, Yonsei University, Korea. He has a multidisciplinary background: a BA in business administration and an MA in sociology at Seoul National University, and a PhD in information systems at LSE. Before joining Yonsei, he was a faculty member of the Department of Information Systems at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and Brunel University, UK. He served as a Working Committee member of the Committee for International Development Cooperation in the Prime Minister’s Office from 2012 to 2016. He is currently the president of the Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation (2017-2018). His areas of research include Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) and standardization/innovation in developing countries. In addition, he is Director of the Centre for Australian Studies at Yonsei University and a board member of the Korea-Australia Foundation.
