Strategic dialogues among national leaders constitute a critical platform for peace and stability in Asia. Still, empirical reality attests to the case that division and conflicts among national leaders make diplomatic situations uneasy and unstable. There are many reasons: disputes in security interests, diverging economic interests, cultural values, etc. Strategic context also matters. The cold War, the post-Cold War, and the globalizing world set different tones for cooperation and conflict among nations in the region. This session probes for realistic ways of enhancing collaboration among leaders in Asia under newly unfolding strategic contexts.
