After graduating from the faculty of English education of the Seoul National University, I joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1985-2017). I served as director For Russian Affairs, Political and Economic Counselor of Korean Embassy in Moscow. I also served as Director General for Consular Affairs and Overseas Koreans, Korean Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Consul General to Houston. I am Ph.D. (History) of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Federation. After retirement, I served As Professor Emeritus of KDNA, Chair professor of the Dongkuk Univesity, Vice Chair, ‘Eurasia21’ and now Senior Advisor on Eurasia of the Shin & Kim LLC.
