YOUN Dam-rin is an Associate Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses. He received his Ph.D. in International Politics from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He has previously served as a research professor at the Korea University Center for Russian and CIS Studies and as Head of International Exchange at the Secretariat of the Korea–Russia Dialogue (KRD). His main research interests include international politics, international security, trilateral cooperation among South Korea, North Korea, and Russia, and Russian politics—particularly political elites.
