Biography

LEE Chang Ju received both his B.A. and M.A. from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) and earned his Ph.D. in Diplomacy from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA), Fudan University (復旦大學), in Shanghai, China. He has previously served as a Resident Researcher at the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI) China Research Center in Shanghai, a Visiting Research Fellow at the Sejong Institute, and a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Ajou University. He currently continues his research activities as a Visiting Lecture Professor in the BRICs Major at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Grounded in extensive field research at major ports and border regions across China, his scholarship adopts an interdisciplinary approach that bridges Chinese diplomacy, international relations, international logistics, and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). His major publications, both published in South Korea, include The New Northeast Asian Network and Everything about the Belt and Road Initiative.
