약력
동북아역사재단 김도형 이사장은 한국사연구회 회장을 역임하였으며, 한국 근대 계몽운동과 의병운동, 정치사상 분야의 대표적인 연구자이다. 연세대 사학과 교수로 재직하다 2017년 11월에 제5대 동북아역사재단 이사장으로 취임하였으며, 연구의 균형과 정책의 정통(精通), 교류를 위한 공유(共有)를 중심으로 동북아 지역의 역사 갈등 극복과 역사 화해를 위해 힘쓰고 있다. 또한 제1기(2002-2005)와 제2기(2007-2010) 한일역사공동연구위원회 위원으로 참가하였다. 주요 저서로는 <대한제국기의 정치사상 연구>(1994), <근대 한국의 문명전환과 개혁론>(2014), <민족과 지역: 근대개혁기의 대구·경북>(2017), <민족문화와 대학>(2018) 등이 있다.
Kim Dohyung, President of the Northeast Asian History Foundation (NAHF), served as chairman of the Association for Korean Historical Studies, and he is one of Korea's leading scholars in the field of enlightenment, activities of volunteer troops, and political thought during the modern era. He worked as a professor of History Department at Yonsei University, and inaugurated in November 2017 as the 5th president of the NAHF. Kim strives to pursue the historical reconciliation in Northeast Asia through the research activities, the implementation of policies and the promotion of the education. Kim also has participated in the First (2002-2005) and the Second (2007-2010) South Korea-Japan Joint History Research Project. He authored Study of Political Ideas of the Korean Empire (1994), Transformation and Reformation of Modern Korea (2014), Nation and Region: Modern Reform Period of Daegu·Gyeongbuk (2017), and Korean Culture and University: Academic traditions and Studies of Yonhi College (2018).
