The North East Asian History Foundation has made a constant effort to develop and share wisdom and knowledge for coexistence and co-prosperity with various nations and ethnic groups in historic contexts. Since conflicts around historical issues are a major obstacle to regional peace and cooperation, relevant participants need to discuss this cognitive conflict to establish a stepping stone for the future of peace and cooperation. This session will share European experiences of dealing with historical conflicts.
- Success story of European solutions to historical conflicts.
- Lessons for East Asia to resolve historical conflicts.
- The negative impact of historical conflicts on community building.

동북아역사재단은 역사 속에서 다른 나라와 민족이 함께 어울려 평화롭게 상생(相生)하고 공영(共榮)하는 지혜와 교훈을 탐구하여 공유하려는 노력을 아끼지 않고 있습니다. 역사문제의 갈등은 지역 내 평화와 협력에 장애물이라는 인식하에 동아시아가 공유하고 있는 역사문제에 대한 갈등을 논의함으로써 동아시아 협력과 평화를 위한 초석을 다지는 토론의 장입니다. “역사화해와 동아시아 협력”세션은 유럽의 역사적 갈등과 이에 대한 해결의 경험을 공유하고 동아시아가 추구해야 할 방향을 논의하고자 합니다.
