Lee Su Hoon is Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan. He started his career as a professor in Kyungnam University in March 1987. His study and career mainly aims at peace on Northeast Asia and North Korean issues. He was a Director for Institute for Far Eastern Studies in Kyungnam University since February 2009. He was a Chairman for the Subcommittee for Foreign Affairs and Security, State Affairs Planning Advisory Committee in 2017. In October 2017, he assumed his position as Korean Ambassador to Japan.

이수훈 대사의 커리어와 연구는 대체로 동북아시아의 평화와 북한에 집중되어 있다. 그는 1987년 3월 경남대학교의 교수로서 경력을 시작했고, 2009년 2월 경남대학교 극동문제연구소 소장, 2017.5월 국정기획자문위원회 외교안보분과 위원장을 역임하였다. 2017년 10월부터 시작하여 주일대사직 재직중이다.
