Dr. Joo received a Ph.D. in Economics from Korea University, Korea. And he has been an economist at the Hyundai Research Institute since 2001. He is the head of the Economy Research Department (the integration Dept between the Industrial Research Department and the Macro Economy Department), Hyundai Research Institute. Previously, he was the head of the Industrial Research Department from 2009~2015 and head of the Macro Economy Department from 2004~2008 at Hyundai Research Institute. He has conducted many studies about the Korean economy over the past 18 years. He is evaluated as one of the most prominent experts with a deep understanding and sharp insight into the Korean economy.
