He worked at software ventures, internet portal corps and company groups of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data area as a software developer and CTO over 20 years. His current role is director of local ICT policies and projects as a public servant from civil area since 2015.

벤쳐 기업의 기술 연구소, 인터넷 포털, 대기업 등에서 인공지능 및 빅데이터 영역의 개발자 및 기술 책임자로 근무하고 2015년부터 개방형 공무원으로 제주특별자치도의 ICT 정책 및 사업을 총괄하고 있다.
기술을 통한 사회적 문제 해결에 관심이 많으며, 오픈소스 활동, 코드와 데이터를 통한 사회혁신 활동(civic hacking등)에 관심이 많다.
