Biography

Dr. Daniel A. Pinkston is lecturer in international relations with Troy University. Previously he was the Northeast Asia Deputy Project Director for the International Crisis Group in Seoul, and the director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. Pinkston received his Ph.D. in international affairs from the University of California, San Diego, and he has a M.A. in Korean studies from Yonsei University. He is the author of The North Korean Ballistic Missile Program, and has published several scholarly articles and book chapters on Korean security affairs. He also served as a Korean linguist in the U.S. Air Force.


Daniel Pinkston박사는 Troy대에서 국제관계를 가르치고 있다. 서울소재 International Crisis Group의 동북아 프로젝트 부책임자였고, James Martin Center의 동아시아 비확산프로그램 책임자였다. 그는 UC Sandiego에서 국제관계학 박사 학위를 받았고, 연세대학교에서 한국학 석사 학위를 받았다. 『The North Korean Ballistic Missile Program』의 저자이며, 그 외에도 한국 안보 문제에 관한 여러 저서와 논문을 출판했다. 그는 미 공군에서 한국어 학자로 근무했다.
