Biography
Jin-yong Kim, Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, is a local administration expert and free economic zone administrator. In September 2017, he became the fifth Commissioner of IFEZ.
IFEZ was established in August 2003 to develop a central business city of Northeast Asia with the highest competitiveness on the global stage of the 21st century.
He is committed to improving the quality of life for citizens and actualizing the vision of ‘Global Business Frontier in the Northeast Asia’ while pursuing external growth, attracting more global corporations, and elevating the value of the smart & green city. He has served as a government official since 1996 and became Director General of Policy Planning in 2012, Director General of Finance Planning in 2015 for Incheon Metropolitan City, and Director General of Policy Planning for Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) in 2013. In 2015, he was appointed as vice commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority. He is currently a Commissioner of IFEZ.
