Kwack Chae-Gi is a professor of public administration and the Dean of social science college and graduate school of public administration at Dongguk University, and a member of the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning. He has served as the President of Seoul Association for Public Administration(SAPA). His main interests are local public finance, government budgets, state-owned enterprises and more.


곽채기는 현재 동국대학교 행정학과 교수이며, 행정대학원장 겸 사회과학대학장을 맡고 있다. 또한 현재 대통령직속 정책기획위원회 위원으로 일하고 있다.

그동안 내무부 지방행정연수원 교수와 전남대학교 행정학과 교수, 그리고 서울행정학회 회장 등을 역임하였다. 서울대학교에서 행정학 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 주로 정부예산, 지방재정, 공기업 분야를 대상으로 연구와 저술 및 강의를 하고 있다.

민영화와 한국경제, 철도정책론, 복지재정과 시민참여, 새행정학2.0, 공기업개혁, 저출산 고령화 시대의 지방재정 등 다수의 공저를 저술하였다.
