Kim Yang-Bo is an enthusiastic environmental activist and the director general of the Environment Conservation Bureau, Jeju. He received a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering and a PhD in sociology. He has been responsible for managing the Jeju environment in 1999, and policy making of the environmental sector in 2006 as a public area expert. Meanwhile, from 2013, he also appointed IUCN(International for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) environment cooperation manager to support a long-term agreement between Jeju and IUCN in 2012. Kim Yang-bo has been committed to improving environmental value and its importance as a leader of the Jeju public sector.
