Biography
Kim Goonho is Director General of the Balanced Regional Development Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Born in Jeju, he studied German Language and Literature and earned a master’s degree in Social Policy in the United Kingdom.
He has held senior posts at the Ministry, the Presidential Secretariat, and the National Archives of Korea, covering resident affairs, decentralization, administrative systems, civil cooperation, and records management.
Since January 2026, he has led policies on depopulated areas, regional revitalization, the Hometown Love Donation Program, and balanced regional development.
