Dong Jo Kim is Senior Vice President for Global Policy Office of Hyundai Motor Group. Before joining Hyundai in June 2023, he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea since 1998 as a career diplomat. He was Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs at the Korean Embassies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as in Moscow, Russia. Prior to that, he was seconded to the Office of the ROK President as Assistant Staff Secretary for Foreign Media, after serving as the Director for Policy Planning and Coordination in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul. He was also posted in Dakar, Senegal, and Geneva, Switzerland, as Counselor and First Secretary, respectively. Mr. Kim served in the military as Air Force officer and retired with a rank of First Lieutenant. He holds a LL.B. from Korea University, LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and Masters in International Policy and Practice (M.I.P.P) from Elliot School of International Affairs at the George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
