Currently serving as the Deputy Secretary-General of The Charhar Institute and Director of the Yonsei-Charhar Center. He once studied at Kim Il-sung University of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. After graduation, he was employed by Xinhua News Agency, undertaking the reporting tasks related to the Korean Peninsula and the surrounding Asia-Pacific regions. He served as the first correspondent dispatched by Xinhua News Agency to the Republic of Korea. He also served as the Executive President and Editor-in-Chief of the Korean version of the magazine "China" under the China International Publishing Group(CIPG), the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese version of the Korean newspaper 《Aju Economic News》. He was once appointed as a Professor in Charge at the Institute of Political Economy and Academic Research of the Graduate School of Politics at Kyonggi University of the Republic of Korea and a Visiting Professor at the Seoul Media Institute of Technology（SMIT） of the Republic of Korea.
