Biography

ZENG Yunheng is a development practitioner, currently contributing to the planning and implementation of UNESCO’s Culture Programme in East Asia. His work focuses on intangible cultural heritage, art and creativity, and the programmatic synergy with global development priorities such as education, climate change, and technologies in the East Asia. Yunheng also manages the process of official publications relevant to these intersectoral topics. He was previously field-based in Gansu, China with a UNDP project for local poverty reduction and community resilience building. Yunheng began his career with overseas-posting to East Africa under China Aid technical cooperation project supporting local capacity building and community development. With extensive experience in international affairs and development cooperation, he has worked with governments, U.N. agencies, diplomatic entities, and academia on issues concerning social development and public engagement in different countries, taking on project management and policy research roles. He holds a Master’s degree of international relations from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
