Biography
James KRASKA is Charles H. Stockton Chair of International Maritime Law and Chair of the Stockton Center for International Law at the U.S. Naval War College and Visiting Professor of Law and John Harvey Gregory Lecturer on World Organization at Harvard Law School. He is a leading authority on the law of the sea, maritime security and the law of naval warfare.
Professor KRASKA previously held visiting faculty appointments with the University of Maine, the University of the Philippines, Gujarat National Law University and Duke University. A former international law attorney for the U.S. Navy, Professor KRASKA is regularly interviewed by global media outlets, such as the New York Times, CNN, and Reuters.
A prolific author, his most recent book is 『Marine Technology, Ocean Development and the Law of the Sea』 with Cambridge University Press and his forthcoming study, 『Incidents at Sea in U.S. Diplomacy and International Law』 with Oxford University Press. Professor KRASKA serves on the Research Advisory Board of KMI and is a Lifetime Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
