Biography
FUKAGAWA Yukiko is a Professor at Waseda University, specializing in development economics and economic development in East Asia, with a particular focus on Korea. She holds an M.A. in International Development Economics from Yale University (1995). Prior to joining academia, she worked at the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Long-Term Credit Bank Research Institute. She has taught at Aoyama Gakuin University and the University of Tokyo, and served as a Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University (2014) and Yonsei University (2015). She has been actively engaged in advisory and consultation activities for the Japanese government. Her recent publications include "Beyond 'Abenomics': Japan's integration catch-up and prospects for Japan-U.K. cooperation" (Chatham House, 2019).
