XU Hong is Dean of the College of Tourism and Service Management, Nankai University, Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor, and Director of the Research Center for Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism. She is Vice President of the Tourism Education Branch of the China Tourism Association; an expert for China’s tourist homestay grading and review; a Supervisor of the China Association of Travel Services; President of the Tianjin Tourism Education Branch; a specially appointed researcher for the Tianjin Municipal Government; Director of the Expert Committee of the Tianjin Leisure Agriculture Association; a member of Nankai University’s Academic Committee; and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Chinese Modernization Studies. Her research focuses on tourism industry ecology, destination competitiveness, service enterprise innovation and strategic management, and leisure agriculture and rural tourism. She has led nearly 100 funded projects and published 170+ journal papers.
