Dr. Yoon-Jong Jang obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Paris X (Nanterre) in France in 1992. He has worked for the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade(KIET) for more than 30 years; He was Director in the Digital Economy Department(2000-2002); Vice President(2002-2003) and Director in Growth Engine Industries Research Center(2011-2013), and now he serves as Director in Department of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Research. He has published many reports and articles, mainly covering FDI, globalization, and trade and industrial policies. He has actively worked for the Korean government. His major activities are as follows: Member, Advisory Group on International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade(1998-2004); Member, Commission on Government Policy Evaluation, Prime Minister’s Office(2003-2005); Chairman, Green Technology Certification Review Committee, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(2012-2014); Member, Presidential Advisory Council on Science & Technology, Office of the President(2016-present). And he also served as the president of the Korean Association of Trade and Industry Studies in 2015.
