KIM Young-shik is the Director of the Alternative Fuels and Power Systems Research Center at the KOREA Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO). He is leading research and development in eco-friendly electric propulsion ships and carbon-neutral maritime systems. Based on his expertise in marine system modeling and model-based control, he has been actively developing technologies for electric propulsion, energy management, virtual commissioning, and ship safety. He is also dedicated to advancing future maritime mobility technologies focused on eco-friendliness, electrification, and automation, while promoting industrial ecosystem development and international collaboration.
