Dr. David Scharia is Director and Chief of Branch at the UN Security Council counter Terrorism executive directorate (CTED) where he heads CTED thematic Counter Terrorism work. Dr. Scharia leads a large group of experts covering all Counter Terrorism work including legal and criminal justice, judicial and law enforcement cooperation, financing of terrorism, human rights, use of Internet by terrorists, law enforcement, CVE and gender mainstreaming. Dr. Scharia also heads CTED counter terrorism political and research unit.
