SUNG Kyung-Mo received her Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from the University of Lyon 2 in France and joined the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in April 2013, where she began her professional career in research on French science and technology policy and science and technology talent policy. In December 2017, she moved to the Global Cooperation Policy Research Center and began conducting research on international cooperation policies in science and technology, mainly studying Korea-EU science and technology cooperation, and the EU's technological sovereignty policy. From May to December 2022, she served as an advisory member of the French Science and Technology Policy at the Policy Research Institute of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, and from February 2023 to December 2024, she served as the Head of Science and Technology Diplomacy and Security Research Office. She was also project manager of ‘Strategic Technology Diagnostic and Analysis System Research in the Emerging Security Era’ during two years (2023~2024). Dr. SUNG will serve as a visiting research fellow at the Jeju Peace Institute for one year starting from March 2025.
