CHOI Jungchul has focused on wind energy for both his academic and career pursuits over the past 20 years. After graduating from Yonsei University in Korea, he received his master’s and doctorate degrees from Stuttgart University and Kassel University in Germany. His graduation theses were related to wind energy technology. He worked at GE Wind Energy and Fraunhofer IWES in Germany and then at the Korea Institute of Energy Research in Korea. He also worked at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning as a program director for wind power. He is currently working at Mokpo National University as a professor. He is also active as a Korean representative in international organizations such as IEA Wind.
