Biography
Prof. RHA earned his B.A. ('94), M.S. ('96), and Ph.D. ( '07) from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Since joining the Department of Business Administration at The Catholic University of Korea in 2009, he has served as a dedicated professor. Driven by a deep commitment to transforming the world through business administration, Prof. RHA views markets and enterprises as among the most innovative tools available. Nonetheless, he acknowledges that not all social challenges can be resolved solely through market and enterprise mechanisms. He advocates for destructive innovation that transcends the traditional boundaries of state, market, and society. Although he does not aspire to become a social entrepreneur himself, Prof. RHA passionately encourages his students to take on the challenge of starting social ventures and engaging in social innovation. His research encompasses a wide array of topics at the intersection of business and society, including social entrepreneurship, impact investing, corporate social responsibility, and environmental management. He has authored numerous papers and books on these subjects. Over the past decade, his research has focused on valuating the social impact of business activities, and he has also shown a keen interest in applying evolutionary theory to the social innovation ecosystem.
